William Dean Visser was born June 18, 1942 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of John and Frances (Marshall) Visser.
Bill grew up in Harvey, Iowa and in California. He graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1961.
Bill then served in the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, Bill lived in Sunnyvale, California for 30 years. He worked most of his life as a warehouse manager.
In 1995, Bill retired and returned to Harvey, Iowa.
On March 12, 2000 he was united in marriage to Anna Benscoter. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching sports.
Bill passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics at the age of 73 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Brownie and daughter, Maria Phillips.
Those left to cherish Bill’s memory include his wife, Anna; son, John (Debbie) of Lemon Grove, California; two sisters: Sheryl Kay Miller of Sunnyvale, California and Pam Zibura of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; step-children: Don (Angie) Vance, David Vance and Angela (Michael) Bosak; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for William “Bill” Visser, age 73 of Harvey, will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Harvey Assembly of God Church. Memorials may be made to the family.
