Harold Eugene Roland, of 713 W. Main was born in Iowa City, Iowa September 24, 1946, the son of Walter and Lura (Spencer) Roland.
He attended the Knoxville Schools and was liked by all who knew him. On June 2, 1973, Harold married Sandra Seuferer and settled down in Knoxville, working in the coal mines and doing construction work.
He was a very giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand with no complaints, even in his later years as COPD took its toll on his life He like to spend his leisure time fishing and hunting
Harold died at the Chariton hospital, on January 15, 2013, leaving behind his wife, Sandra of forty years, a sister Carolyn (Bob) Mueller, brother Eddie and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents. No service was planned.
