Willis A. Robinson, 55, a native of Knoxville died Nov. 8 at Collins Memorial
Hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services were held Nov. 11 from the First Baptist Church with Rev Clifford Green officiating.
Burial was in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of Evans Arlington Chapel.
Masonic services were held at the chapel.
Casketbearers were George Ethell, Cyril Beary, Gordon Ehmke, John Teams, Ray Davis,
Johnny Wright, Wayne Sutherland and Joe Betterton. Mrs. Guy Anderson, organist accompanied
James Kidder, John Crawford, Paul DenBurger and Jerry Swank. Flowers were arranged
by Fonda Stephens, Joan Jones and Veda Schrader.
Willis Azel, son of Charles and
Dora Wilson Robinson was born June 12, 1915 at Knoxville.
In 1961, he was united
in marriage to Lydia Blythe and made their home in Knoxville.
During World War
II he served as a sergeant in Company I-133rd Infantry, 34th Division in the African
campaign. He was an employee of the Iowa Power and Light Company for 25 years, a
member of the Masonic Lodge and of the First Baptist Church where he had served
on the board of deacons and other offices.
Surviving are his wife, Lydia; and brother Wendell Robinson of Knoxville.
