Funeral services for Jacklene “Jackie” Eudora (Heaton) Parker, 35, of Pleasantville,
who died Monday, March 10, 2003 at the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, were
held Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Williams Funeral Home.
Pastor Bruce Rietveld officiated
at the services. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Casketbearers
were Kyle Bazer, Chris Heaton, Mike Heaton, Brandon Pettyjohn, Cory Spiker, and
Blake Tille. Honorary bearers were Kalene Bazer, Joseph Emerson, Tyler Emerson,
Courtney Parker, Lindsay Pettyjohn, and Benjamin Tille.
Jackie was born on May 16,
1967, in Knoxville, the daughter of Karen Sue Koons and Jack Ray Heaton.
She attended
school in Knoxville. She worked for several years as a waitress at Mr. C’s. She
also worked at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital and the Holiday Inn in Pella.

She was very fond of music, especially Elvis. She spent many enjoyable hours hunting
for Indian arrowheads. She liked to be active— going places all the time. Her most
treasured times were spent with family and her children.
She was preceded in death
by her mother; a son, Devon Ray Emerson; and a sister, Nancy Larraine Heaton. She
is survived by her husband, Rob Parker of Pleasantville; a daughter, Courtney Parker
of Pleasantville; two sons, Tyler and Joseph Emerson of Knoxville; her father and
step-mother, Jack and Judy Heaton of Melcher; a sister, Brenda Forbes of Knoxville;
two brothers, Marty and his wife, Anna, Heaton of Harvey and Gary Heaton of Oskaloosa
as well as many other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to her children.
