Chase Lawten Larson, age 19, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, in Knoxville, Iowa.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. with family present from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Celebrate Community Church of Knoxville.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 13, 2018, at the Celebrate Community Church of Knoxville.

Chase was born on October 1, 1998, at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He is the son of Jeff and Dameon (O’Boyle) Larson. He has five siblings: Ashley, Alexis, Caleb (who passed in infancy), Marley, and Drake. Chase graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 2017.

During high school, he was very active in sports. He participated in basketball, in which he was captain for two years and lettered all four years, baseball for one year, in which he lettered, soccer for four years, also lettered all four years, and served as captain for three of those years, and cross country, where he also lettered and was all-conference for two years. Chase received the Black K for his outstanding athletic achievements.

After high school, he attended DMACC and received his EMT certification. He was employed at the Knoxville Fire Department and was also enrolled to start classes at Mercy College of Health Sciences this fall.

Chase was mechanically inclined and enjoyed driving and working on micro-sprint cars.

He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially enjoyed teasing his little brother Drake when playing PS4 with him.

Chase will be remembered as fun-loving, caring, competitive, and somebody that would do anything to help someone. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Jeff and Dameon Larson of Knoxville; sisters: Ashley (Alec) Kline, Alexis Larson (Lucas Moore), Marley Larson, and brother, Drake Larson; niece, Paislee Moore; his grandparents: Mike and Dorothy Larson, and Pam O’Boyle; great-grandma, Beulah Laughlin; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.

Chase is preceded in death by his brother, Caleb Larson, who passed in infancy; and his grandpa, Jim O’Boyle

A memorial fund will be established in Chase’s honor. The memorial will be devoted to Chase’s memory and distributed by his family with love.
