Private family services for Ronald Dale Kingery, 66, of Monroe, who died Thursday,
Sept. 11, 2003 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, were held Sunday, Sept. 14.

Ronald
was born on July 15, 1937, in Knoxville, the son of Earnest D. and Marion (Currier)
Kingery. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1956.

On Nov. 7, 1956 he married
Karen Palmquist in Knoxville. Ronald spent 20 years in the United States Air Force.
He also worked in maintenance for the P.C.M. School District, retiring in 2000.

He was a member of the Prairie City Odd Fellows as well as the Monroe American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy in 1998; and a step-granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Monroe; two daughters and their husbands, Debra
and Steve Nichols of Des Moines and Cheryl and Eric Giers of Connecticut; a son
and his wife, Blake and Tamyie Kingery of Newton; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren;
a sister, Donna Karr of Monroe; two brothers, Frank Kingery of Monroe and Dennis
Kingery of Arizona as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to
the Monroe Emergency Unit.

Arrangements were made by Walters Coburn Funeral Home
in Monroe.
