Services for Billy Max King, 64, of Cheyenne, Wyo. and formerly of Knoxville, who died May 5, 1987, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo., were held May 10 at Wiederspahn Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne with Rev. George Perry officiating.
Interment was in Cheyenne Memorial Cemetery, Wyo.

Mr. King was born June 8, 1922, in Knoxville, the son of William King (1887 – 1961) and Alma Elizabeth Smith King (1891 – 1987).

Raised in Knoxville and a Navy veteran of World War II, he had been a resident of Cheyenne, Wyo. since 1954. He was a salesman.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cheyenne Lodge No. 1, Shrine Clowns, American Legion Post No. 6, and Wyoming Consistory.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister Hilda Caswell (b.Sep 15, 1915-d.3/26/1942).

He is survived by his wife, Frances (Greer); two daughters, Terri Christopherson of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Billie Marvel of Laramie, Wyo., five grandchildren; three brothers, Howard, Herbert, and John, all of Des Moines; and one sister; Annabelle Philpot of Spring Arbor, Mich.

Memorials have been established for the Shriner Crippled Children's Hospital the American Cancer Society and the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
