Funeral services for Ronald Allen Eldridge, 60, of Des Moines, who died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Devine Hospital in Portage, Wis., were held Saturday, March 23, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines, Interment was at Laurel Hill in Des Moines.
Ronald was born on January 1, 1942, in Chariton, Iowa. He served in the United States Marines.
He lived most of his life in Des Moines where he was a supervisor of the bulk mail division at Principal Financial Group.
He enjoyed camping, family bike rides, and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Eldridge of Des Moines; two daughters, Amanda Bray of Dekalb, Ill. And Tressa Kindred of Becker, Minn, one step-daughter, Tammy Rice of Des Moines; one son, Bill Eldridge of Kalona; six step-sons, Floyd Baker of Oxford, Wis., Danny Baker of Des Moines, Kenny Baker of Des Moines, Bobby Baker of Mason City, Russell Baker of Des Moines, and James Kendrick of Des Moines; his mother, Gladys Donald of Knoxville; one brother, David McDonald of Pleasant Hill; 42 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
