Lois (Teter) Doran – Thomas born in Morrison, Oklahoma, July 7, 1913, passed away December 2, 2004 in Bonita, California.

Deeply mourned and missed by family and friends, she was an embodiment of love and generosity who nurtured and empowered those around her. A resident of San Diego County since 1959, she retired from the Union Tribune in 1982, where she worked in Classified Advertising for 23 years.

Widowed twice, by the death of Robert E. Doran, Sr., her first husband in 1974, and subsequently by the death of Charles Thomas in 1992, whom she considered to be her Soul Mate.

She was predeceased by her brother, Loy N. Teter in 1989. She is survived by her four sons; Robert, Michael, Dennis, and Jeffrey Doran, and her four step-children, Samantha Cameron, Caroline Brickell, Brooks Thomas, and Jennifer Steele, along with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Neva K. Beard of Cottage Grove, Oregon.

A Memorial service will be held at The Little Chapel of the Roses, Glen Abbey Cemetery, in Bonita, Calif. at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec 11, 2004 with graveside services immediately following. Published in The San Diego Union Tribune on Dec. 8, 2004.
