Dennis Leroy Binns, Sr. was born April 12, 1959, in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Emmert Leroy and Betty Mae (Donley) Binns.
Dennis graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1977.
On July 27, 1977, he was united in marriage to Cris Rodda.
Dennis worked at Drake University for a few years, before taking a job at Precision Pulley & Idler in Pella. He was a welder and worked in maintenance at PPI.
He also worked for his father’s business, A to Z Construction for many years. Dennis retired in 2019.
In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandkids.
Dennis passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 63 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmert and Betty, and three siblings: Alicia Worthington, Pamela Gritts, and Randy Binns.
Those left to honor Dennis’ memory include his wife, Cris; son, Denny (Amanda) Binns, Jr.; daughter, Jenny (Jason) Watson; 9 grandchildren; siblings: Sharon Miller of Colorado, Dareld (Laurie) Binns of California; Vonnie (David) Shride of Iowa, Vickie Meisinger of Iowa, Sandra (Larry) Renard of Iowa, Kathie (David) Caylor of Iowa, Steve (Sandra) Binns of Iowa and Cheryl (Joe) Howell of Iowa and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knoxville Bowling Team or to the Knoxville Shooting Team.
