Linda Sue (Galvin) Ellsworth, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on 13 March 2022 at UC Health in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Linda was born on 14 February 1951 to Lerlia and Martyna Galvin in Knoxville, Iowa. She attended Knoxville Public Schools through 11th grade and the family moved to Cedar Rapids where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1969.

Linda married Steve Ellsworth on June 2, 1973. They lived in North Carolina, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado during their 49 years of marriage. Steve was her everything. Linda and Steve loved traveling, going to Costa Rica, the Amazon, and Alaska to see the Northern Lights. Jamaica held a special place in her heart.

She could cook! She loved her wine, along with the laughter and friendship that came with hosting a happy hour on her deck with people she loved. She hosted many a meal with family and friends and you were always welcome to stay for a bite.

For years, every Sunday Linda would call her sister and friends and plan a get-together for that day with everyone bringing a dish or two. Every event Linda held or attended was filled with laughter and love.

People gravitated to Linda because of her smile and she always made you feel as if you were the most important person in her life. She loved everyone and gave the best “life” advice to everyone who asked. Linda gave and gave and gave but she did enjoy being the recipient of love from others.

Linda is survived by her husband Steve, her two children Christopher and Heather, and her 4 grandchildren, Austin, Colin, Brycen, and Daxton. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and she gave them everything. She is also survived by her sister Monte (Brett) Landis and her brother Jon (Carol) Galvin, and countless friends, some of whom she had for over 40 years, who loved her dearly.

Linda passed away from Covid. She had had all her vaccines and boosters but a preexisting autoimmune condition weakened her body making it impossible to survive the virus. She was adamant about wearing a mask and getting vaccinated. So for Linda, please get vaccinated.
