Melvin Keith Beaver, 83, of Melcher, Iowa passed away on July 23, 2021. Per Mel’s wishes, no services will be held.
Pierschbacher Funeral Home will be assisting with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Melvin’s honor to EveryStep Hospice and may be sent to Pierschbacher Funeral Home, PO Box 509, Chariton, Iowa 50049.
Melvin was born on October 3, 1937, to Loren and Dorothy (Stroud) Beaver. He grew up around the Harvey area. He married his sweetheart, Barbara Mae Vander Ecken on February 14, 1981.
Melvin was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He worked for the Iowa power company.
Melvin will be dearly missed by his wife of 40 years, Barb; children: Tami VanderSluis, Keith Beaver, Mike Beaver, Nikki Cheang, Valerie Young, and Jeff Young; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Sandy Agan.
